Erik Haunreiter

Faculty Research Assistant, Oregon State University

My primary research interests are in landscape change in forested ecosystems, fire ecology and the applications of ecological modeling, remote sensing and GIS in conservation and management.

Working throughout the Pacific Northwest and California, my past work has included fire behavior modeling , vegetation change detection, assessing the impact of climate change on ecosystem services , forest health monitoring, and spotted owl and raptor surveys.

Currently, I’m using Landsat time series data to assess land cover change in the United States and map forest cover in Haiti.
